The New Year 2020 marks the beginning of a new decade, a decade in which most of the auto manufacturers will be shifting towards electrification of their product portfolio, both in India as well as abroad. But the year  2020 is very important for us Indian Motoring Enthusiasts also because this year the biennial auto show ‘Auto Expo’ will be held in just a month’s time. But that doesn’t mean that the month of January will go desolated and so here is our list of the Top 5 Upcoming Cars in India in January 2020.

1. Audi Q8

Audi will launch its Top of the line ranging SUV Audi Q8 in India on January 15, 2020. The Audi Q8 will feature an astonishing look with its coupe-like body design, feature-packed interiors, and power-packed performance. The Q8 will be brought to India as a CBU import and will sport a hefty price tag of around Rs 1.50 Crores Ex-showroom.

2. Hyundai Aura

Hyundai will launch its Compact Sedan Hyundai Aura based on its Grand i10 Nios hatchback in India on January 21, 2020. The Aura will resemble its hatch counterpart in terms of looks and equipment list but will get new alloys and a stunning looking rear profile. It will get a slew of BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine options to choose one for yourself and will be stuck with a price tag of around Rs 5.5-9 lakhs Ex-showroom.

3. Tata Altroz

Tata Motors will enter the Premium Hatch segment of the country with its Altroz hatchback, which aims to set gold standard benchmarks in its category. The Altroz will get BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine options with a gazillion of features inside, including some segment first. It is expected to be priced between Rs 5-8.5 lakhs Ex-showroom and will be launched in India on January 22, 2020.

 

4. MG ZS EV

MG Motors has already tasted success in the Indian market with its Hector SUV and now it is all set to launch its second product in India and its an electric vehicle, called the MG ZS EV. The electric vehicle will offer a decent driving range along with minimalistic looking exterior and feature-loaded interior. Once launched it will lock horns with Hyundai Kona EV and is expected to be priced at Rs 22.50 lakhs Ex-showroom.

5. Tata Nexon Electric

Tata Motors has recently showcased its first electric SUV called the Tata Nexon EV. The electric SUV is based on Upcoming Tata Nexon Facelift and will feature a bunch of design updates compared to its predecessor. The EV will also be equipped with surfeit features and will offer a good driving range. It is expected to be launched by the end of this month at a price of around Rs 16 lakhs Ex-showroom.
