The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary Suzuki Motorcycles India Limited was one of the very few prominent two-wheeler manufacturers to be present at the 2020 Auto Expo. The two-wheeler brand has used this opportunity to display its entire BS6-compliant line-up that will mandatorily go on sale from April 2020. The BS6 Suzuki line-up included various motorcycles like the Gixxer 155 and Giixer 250, both in the naked version and the fully-faired unit, Intruder cruiser motorcycle and the Burgman 125 Street scooter. And now the company has finally launched the 2020 Suzuki Burgman 125 BS6 with prices starting at Rs 77,900 Ex-showroom.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 shares its underpinnings with Access 125 and it uses a 124.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine tuned to produce 8.7bhp at 6500 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. It gets an air-cooled cooling system and now fuel-injection too. Other updates include the addition of an integrated kill switch and an engine start button that features Suzuki’s ‘Easy Start System’. The system requires us to just click on the starter button once to start the scooter (and not hold it down, like before).

Speaking at the launch of the new BS6 Burgman 125, Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “Suzuki Motorcycle India is a pioneer in 125cc scooter segment in India and we have also successfully created a new category of advanced premium riding by introducing Burgman Street in the country.”

He further added, “Today, we are delighted to offer this premium scooter with BS6 engine along with Fuel Injection technology to make it even more enjoyable. We are confident that the upgraded Burgman Street  with BS6 will add a zing to an overall riding experience for our customers.”
