The South Korean Giant and India’s Second Largest Car manufacturer, Hyundai Motor Company is all geared-up to unveil the second generation model of its most Successful Sports Utility Vehicle in India on February 6, 2020, at Delhi Auto Expo. Hyundai Creta, in its second-generation iteration, will feature all-new looks with a gazillion of features in the interior and bunch of powertrain options too. Today the company has officially revealed the first teaser and sketches of the upcoming 2020 Hyundai Creta.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta is based on the new Hyundai IX25, which was introduced last year in the International market. The sketches reveal that upfront the car will get a smashingly bold design. It gets Hyundai’s signature cascading grille, the design of this chrome-mesh grille will be similar to that of Venue but will be much bigger in size, and faux skid-plates beneath. It will get a split headlamp layout, the DRLs will be placed just below the hood, while the main headlights will be placed on the bumper and it will be an all-LED unit.
Coming to the side-profile it will get flared wheel-arches with body-cladding all-around, dual-tone alloy wheels and conventional door-handles. The side-profile also gets strong crease lines and one can also see the new panoramic-sunroof. At the rear, it gets minimalistic design with a split taillamp unit, an integrated spoiler, and skid-plates at the bottom.
The interior sketches aren’t revealed but it with a huge 10.25 inch vertically laid-out touchscreen infotainment system on the dashboard which will support features like Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Hyundai’s Blue Link connectivity. The dash will get a black and beige combination and it might get an air purifier too.
Coming to the powertrain options, the new-gen Creta will borrow its engines from Kia Seltos and it will get 1.5L Petrol and 1.5L Diesel engine options producing 115bhp/144Nm and 115bhp/250Nm respectively, both mated to a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. Hyundai might also offer the 1.4L Turbo-petrol unit that churns out 140bhp on tap mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.

Hyundai Motor Company has officially announced that the India Premiere of the second-gen Creta will be done by the company’s brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan on the second media day of Auto Expo, i.e on February 6, 2020, while it will be officially launched in March this year. The New Creta is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 10-16 lakhs Ex-showroom and will rival the likes of Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Mahindra XUV 500.
