Bajaj Avenger: After the stringent enforcement of ABS as mandatory from the government as a safety regulation for all the motorbikes mainly automobile segment as a whole , Major manufacturers such as Bajaj, Suzuki and Royal Enfield have started to push out the ABS versions of their hot-selling bikes with either single-channel ABS or dual-channel ABS as a given for a small cost towards it,
Bajaj Auto Following the launch of Pulsar 220F ABS variant, have now launched the upgraded Avenger Cruise 220 and Avenger Street 220 ABS models due to High consumer safety demands the new Bajaj Avenger 220 motorcycles get a single channel ABS system along with front wheel disc brakes which is great to see.
The Existing non-ABS models come at a price of Rs 95,705 (at ex-showroom Pune). The new Avenger 220 ABS models, however, will cost Rs 1.02 lakh, pricier by almost Rs 6,700 but this is a short cost to pay towards better safety of the user, The new ABS fitted Cruise 220 and Street 220 will come with improved brakes and thus leading to better-induced confidence to the rider.
Both the Avenger bikes have a 220 cc, single cylinder, 2 valves, twin spark, DTS-i motor, to a 5-speed gearbox and puts out 19.03 PS of max power at nearly 8400 RPM and 17.5 NM of peak torque available at 7000 RPM. Both the Cruise and Street Models have in front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Their fuel efficiency is claimed to be 45 kmpl.

Bajaj is also expected to launch Street 180 ABS model as well in the coming few weeks. when launched, it would compete with the Suzuki Intruder 150 ABS variant, which costs Rs 1.02 lakh (at ex-showroom Pune) and Street 180 ABS is also expected to cost almost or lesser than the same.
Both the ABS versions of the Bajaj Avenger Models namely the Cruise 220 and Street 220 are available at the showrooms and some of the dealer showrooms have already started accepting orders with deliveries shortly beginning in the near future.
